Using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, we look at what you want to achieve rather than on the problem(s) that have brought you to the situation you are in, focusing on the present and the future and not on the past. Hypnosis/Trance is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience allowing the brain to focus on the positives.

In the Initial Consultation I will find out more about you and what you want to achieve through SFH and explain how the brain works and why we experience Anxiety, Depression and such problems. You will also get a free CD/ mp3 download to listen to at night before bed and in subsequent sessions we will work together using Positive Language, Positive Thought and Positive Activity, along with scaling and hypnosis/trance, to get you to where you want to be.
I will get you to consider your preferred future, for instance, what would be better if the problem had improved? What would have changed?  This will give you an opportunity to visualise and experience your life as you want it to be and come to your own solutions. 


  • There is no exact definition of Hypnosis but it is generally accepted that contrary to what many people believe, hypnosis is not always a trance state or a sleep state even though a person in hypnosis may appear to be sleeping.

    ‘Hypnosis is really natural state of mind and is an important part of everyday life. Whenever our mind wanders, daydreams or is focused on something, such as reading a book, driving a familiar route, watching a film we are in a state of hypnosis.’ (NCH)

  • People often have a misconception of Hypnosis, picturing the entertainment Hypnotist shows on TV where people are made to dance like a chicken or seem to drop into an unconscious, sleep state at the click of a finger. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind; people are often surprised that they hear every word and could get up and walk out of the room at any moment. Unless you enter a deeper state, you may not seem any different, just very relaxed.

    ‘It’s similar to drifting off to sleep at night, that stage when you are not quite awake and not quite asleep, you may feel a sense of weightlessness or you may feel heaviness as all your muscles relax.   • In situations where you are in a hypnotic trance, such as reading a book, you still have the power to emerge from that state if you want to. Whatever or whomever hypnotizes you; you always have the power to resist.

£10 pre payment for Initial Consultation 

£50 per hour session

Smoking Cessation £120 for a 2 hour session
